The European Union had nothing but slander, war and terror for the constitutionally elected President of the Syrian Arab Republic. But no sooner has Al-Qaeda usurped power in Damascus than the prince of terror Al-Jolani is now allowed to beg for money in Brussels.
The legendary 1939 movie “Mr. Smith Goes to Washington” shows a young, naive boy-scout leader (James Steward) who is chosen to succeed a corrupt senator and therefore goes to Washington. There, in the course of the movie’s plot, a reality of corruption and human shabbiness completely takes down his naivety. Mr. Smith, a synonym for the common man, gets to know the reality behind the beautiful appearance and unmasks American democracy for the viewer as the plutocracy that it is – of course in a shallow way that is acceptable to the mass audience.
Today, almost 90 years later, humanity is no further forward, because even today the reality behind the beautiful appearance is only revealed to those who are prepared to leave the official lies behind and look behind the facades.
For these people, the European Union (EU) really spares no effort to present itself as what it has always been and will probably remain until its end: a mendacious, murderous kleptocratic mafia, controlled by psychopaths, squandering billions on bureaucracy, propaganda and war.
Of course, you will not read in any of the releases of the numerous “commissioners” and “representatives” of this state-simulating Moloch that the European Union (EU) sees itself as a hotbed of warmongering and terrorism – it is always concerned with “Human Rights” and “Democracy” as well as the notorious “Western Values”, which it throws at the ripped-off people in the most flowery phrases at every opportunity – values, which no one has defined and which, due to their vagueness, can therefore be wonderfully used to whitewash the worst acts of corruption and human abuse.
Since spring 2011, the EU has been feeding the fairy tale of the evil dictator to the either unintelligent or willfully ignorant electorate in the member states. You know the story: in this fairy tale, a very evil dictator lives in distant Syria, oppressing and plundering his people (just like the EU in reality, which is probably why the gullible EU citizens can so easily accept it as true). After a good ten years of his rule, the people decide, more or less in unison, that they have had enough of living under this very evil dictator and protest. The evil dictator then decides to exterminate his people. That’s what a dictator does. Fortunately, “moderate rebels” (https://syrianews.cc/encyclopedia/moderate-rebels/), emerged out of nothing, quickly form a military resistance to the evil dictator’s plans. As if by magic, these “moderate rebels” are then supplied with assault rifles, mortars, armor-piercing ammunition, night-vision goggles, flak jackets and all kinds of other useful equipment for the fight in sufficient numbers.
If you are now saying: I already know this story from Libya, you are absolutely right: the storytellers about Syria are the same ones who cooked up this story in Libya.
The “moderate rebels” now call themselves the “Free Syrian Army” (FSA) and are fighting under the flag of the former French colony of Syria for the liberation of the Syrian people (https://syrianews.cc/encyclopedia/fsa/). And of course, because the very evil dictator is so evil, the EU’s heart flames for the “moderate rebels” and the EU decides to support them (https://syrianews.cc/godfather-terror-not-many-recognise/). At the same time, the human rights-loving Arab potentates of the houses of Al Saud and Al Thani (Qatar) open their hearts and treasuries; billions are collected at so-called donor conferences of the “Friends of the Syrian People” group. The representatives of the FSA are received in Europe like presidents (https://syrianews.cc/genocidal-still-moderate-germany-supports-rebels-certain-reason/). The Federal Republic of Germany finances a liaison office in Berlin and an expert working group to simulate a government takeover.
Surprisingly, the “moderate rebels”, who now also call themselves “Jabhat al-Nusra” (https://syrianews.cc/daily-telegraph-how-jihadist-group-jabhat-al-nusra-is-taking-over-syrias-revolution/), still have plenty of time for their hobbies in their fight against the evil dictator, and so from then on they delighted humanity via social media with their leisure activities, such as raiding villages, cutting off the heads of men and adolescent boys, killing priests and nuns, firing mortars at schools (https://syrianews.cc/syria-syrian-rebels-kill-29-students-in-attack-on-school-near-damascus/), burning women and children in ovens and much more. The United Nations calls these leisure activities “war crimes” (https://syrianews.cc/real-news-from-syria-syria-insurgents-likely-to-commit-war-crime-un/), but this does irritate neither Western politicians nor Western voters. The decisive factor for the West is the extremely gratifying fact that the FSA and the Nusra Front are “on our side in Syria” (https://www.realclearinvestigations.com/articles/2022/04/20/al_qaeda_is_on_our_side_how_obamabiden_officials_helped_create_a_safe_haven_for_terrorists_in_syria_827477.html). I remember a video in which the “moderate rebels”, in the fight against the evil dictator supported by our tax money, had chained a little girl to a gate and forced her to watch her parents being shot.
Now the rebel-supporting human rights superpowers USA, the EU and their allied Arab potentates are realizing that there are not only those “moderate rebels” in Syria, but also – how did they get there? – really nasty “Islamists”. And so that Westerners unaccustomed to thinking don’t have such a hard time with the desired enemy image, these Islamists now call themselves “ISIS” (or “IS”), which means “Islamic State” and sends shivers of fear down the spine of Westerners (https://syrianews.cc/encyclopedia/isis/). This “IS” was formed in Iraq in the mid-2000s under the eyes of the US occupying forces from groups of “Al-Qaeda” (these are the wonder boys who allegedly once had brought down 3 skyscrapers with 2 airplanes). The fact that FSA as well as Al-Nusra are Al-Qaeda (https://syrianews.cc/syria-opposition-allegiance-qaeda/) in Syria still does not produce any irritation in the west, because, you know:if they serve us, they are „moderate rebels“, if we dislike them, they are „terrorists“.
With an armada of brand-new Toyota pickups complete with mounted anti-aircraft guns, these Islamists are now criss-crossing the desert and capturing significant areas of Syria. But because these Islamists, are now also cutting off heads and shooting women (https://syrianews.cc/the-pentagon-unleashes-isis-in-syria-ambushes-and-massacres/), the West, together with its Arab friends, has decided to fight then with air strikes (https://syrianews.cc/syria-good-terrorist-bad-terrorist/). Strangely enough, given that it is the most powerful military alliance in the modern world, it may not succeed in doing so – perhaps because it uses ISIS itself as an auxiliary force (https://syrianews.cc/us-regime-playing-dumb-about-isil-isis-daesh/), or because it is too busy bombing away thermal power stations, children’s hospitals and residential buildings in Syria, while terror financing via “SWIFT” (https://syrianews.cc/west-fights-isis-swift-look/) is never stopped by the West… After all, the USA has succeeded in bringing its own ground troops into Syria, capturing the oil wells and stealing the Syrian oil previously stolen by IS and sold via Turkey (https://syrianews.cc/missiles-bombing-did-not-stop-the-us-army-from-stealing-syrian-oil/).
In order to further help the Syrian people in their fight against the evil dictator, the EU and the USA are also introducing “suffocating” sanctions ( https://www.ohchr.org/en/node/104160) such as the so-called “Caesar Act” (https://syrianews.cc/the-us-caesar-sanctions-washingtons-last-stray-bullet-against-syria/) against Syria. These draconian sanctions ensure that Syria can practically no longer trade, that food and medicine are becoming unaffordable for the Syrian population and that the Syrian people are becoming increasingly impoverished (https://www.ohchr.org/en/node/104160). Finally, in December 2024, the “moderate rebels” now calling themselves “HTS” succeed in bringing down the evil dictator. The world – i.e. the value-driven West – cheers as HTS takes Damascus under the flag of the French colony of Syria (https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c9vkmp11mrmo): At last, the countless billions of misappropriated taxpayers‘ money and the equally countless political initiatives and propaganda, sorry!: educational work, have paid off.
So much for the fairy tale called Revolution in Syria, as told to us by the EU.
No sooner has the Western-backed moderate head-cutter with the romantic battle name “Abu Mohammed Al-Jolani” (https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/ce313jn453zo) installed his battle-hardened bum on the comfortable armchairs of the presidential palace than Western politicians are flocking to Damascus for a handshake. And Russia is not standing on the sidelines either: President Putin telephones Al-Jolani and upgrades the gentleman, who until recently was wanted with a bounty of 10 million Dollars, as an equal (https://syrianews.cc/putin-back-on-track/). The FRG Foreign Minister confidently places the care of human rights, in particular the rights of women and religious and ethnic minorities in Syria, in his hands and adds 60 million Euros of German taxpayers‘ money on top (https://syrianews.cc/pixelated-feminism-visits-damascus/). In February 2025, the EU Commission donated another 254 mil. Euros (https://jihadwatch.org/2025/03/a-month-ago-european-commission-gave-254000000-to-syrias-jihad-leader). The richly endowed man expresses his gratitude with a lavish party and has his rebels, now called “security authorities”, slaughter women and members of religious and ethnic minorities such as the Alawites and Christians. Following their old habit, the „security authorities“ film themselves in their goings-on and kindly make their videos available to us via social media (https://rumble.com/v6q9ycc-nato-sponsored-al-qaeda-hts-terror-in-syria-graphic.html?e9s=src_v1_upp). Unfortunately, the images and reports are also unsettling a few voters in the West. And so the politicians feel compelled to act. The UN Security Council adopts words of concern and calls for the protection of minorities (https://www.presstv.ir/Detail/2025/03/14/744424/UN-Security-Council–condemn-violence-Syria-protection-minorities-). Paper is being printed – a courageous measure that has already failed to protect hundreds of thousands of Palestinians from genocide by the Zionists, but makes the electorate in the West feel good.
Our story could end here, were it not for the EU.
This is because the latter had made considerable efforts over more than a decade to get its greedy hands on Syria, er, pardon me: to lead it on the path to a value-driven democracy. The task now is to secure the initial success and prevent others from gaining influence. So the EU decides to hold a conference for Syria in Brussels on March 17th, 2025, to which the HTS-regime is also invited (https://www.presstv.ir/Detail/2025/03/12/744344/European-Commission-Anitta-Hipper-HTS-donor-conference). This is 14 years after the start of the EU-instigated war of terror against the Syrian nation (https://www.eeas.europa.eu/eeas/standing-with-syria-conference_en),.
Let’s take a look at the official press release. According to the EU, the aim is to “lay the foundations for a successful transition” together with the moderate head-choppers (https://ec.europa.eu/commission/presscorner/detail/en/ip_25_760): “The aim of this event is to gain international support for an inclusive transition under Syrian ownership and to pave the way from this support to a socio-economic recovery of the country.”
Leaving aside the flowery political puffery: why the EU first goes to enormous lengths to destroy Syria under Assad (https://thecradle.co/articles/manufacturing-rebels-how-the-uk-and-us-empowered-hts and: https://www.voltairenet.org/article190102.html), only to want to rebuild it afterwards under Al-Qaeda, can only appear incomprehensible to a naïve person or to the EU’s above-average consumers of the corporate-owned or fee-financed mainstream media. Thanks to the psychologically sophisticated media propaganda and their own willful ignorance (https://syrianews.cc/ignorance-strength-westerners-blind/), the latter will have either never understood or already forgotten the EU’s actual role in the targeted destruction of Syria
Hence the naives, just like the average MSM-consumers, will ask themselves: Why should we help Syria to rebuild?
These people are obviously unaware that, since the First World War at the latest, wars are no longer fought to achieve political goals militarily (see Carl v. Clausewitz: „On War“, 1832; https://www.militarystrategymagazine.com/article/strategy-war-and-the-relevance-of-carl-von-clausewitz/), but for the profit interests of those who lead the politicians by the reins and never have to fight on any front themselves (see: Smedley D. Butler: “War Is A Racket”, 1935).
A Business War does not have to be won militarily in order to guarantee the profits of the warmongers. The war has to be long to be most profitable. After the war, those who previously profited from the armament and war financing then earn money from the reconstruction, whereby the aim is not to restore the living conditions for the surviving population, but to invest and speculate. The most recent example of these strategies driven by boundless greed probably is US President Trump’s malicious vision for Gaza.
Unlike in the past, the now ninth Syria conference is no longer being held in the absence of the Syrian government, for whose overthrow Brussels claims to have taken 35.3 billion euros out of the pockets of European citizens since 2011 (https://germany.representation.ec.europa.eu/news/syrien-eu-kommission-begrusst-aussetzung-von-sanktionen-2025-02-25_de). Now that the legitimate President Al-Assad has been overthrown with the help of the EU (https://syrianews.cc/jaafari-end-terrorist-war-imposed-syrian-people/ ) and Al-Qaeda has been installed in Syria, it is important to ensure a return on investment. In EU-speak, however, this means “supporting the Syrian people on their path to recovery, peace and a secure future” (https://ec.europa.eu/commission/presscorner/detail/en/ip_25_760). To this end, the so-called transitional government under Al-Jolani is also being invited to Brussels – after all, the decisions to be taken there for the benefit of speculators must be made together with „the Syrians” (ibid.) for the sake of appearances. The massacres (https://www.state.gov/the-escalation-of-fighting-and-civilian-deaths-in-syria/) carried out by this very gang of murderers, dressed up as a “transitional government” (https://ec.europa.eu/commission/presscorner/api/files/document/print/en/ip_25_282/IP_25_282_EN.pdf) since they took power, do not matter to the EU: „Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, the group that toppled Assad, is designated as a terrorist organisation by the United Nations. But EU officials want to engage with the new rulers as long as they stick to pledges to make the transition inclusive and peaceful“ (https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/syrias-new-rulers-seek-aid-boost-eu-conference-2025-03-16/). On International Women’s Day, EU Foreign Policy Chief Mrs. Kallas twisted legitimate self-defense against the HTS killers into “attacks on security forces” (https://exxpress.at/politik/usa-und-israel-entsetzt-ueber-massaker-von-islamisten-in-syrien-die-eu-schweigt/ ): Cynical Orwellian newspeak in its purest form. This technique of blaming the crimes of one’s own proxies on the enemy is something we have been familiar with from Western political actors since the beginning of the war they staged (https://syrianews.cc/hidden-part-germany-hypocrisy-terror-syria/). At the conference, EU Commission President Mrs. Von der Leyen repeated this nasty propaganda speech (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bcyJTdiTbbs).
In the run-up to the conference, the incumbent FRG Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock promises the HTS regime a further donation of 300 million Euros (https://www.handelsblatt.com/politik/international/syrienkonferenz-eu-will-wiederaufbau-syriens-vorantreiben-kann-sie-dem-neuen-herrscher-trauen/100113656.html). Doubts about the credibility of the new rulers in Damascus, as outlined in the Handelsblatt article, do not bother the politician. Mrs. Baerbock emphasizes that the “appalling crimes” should be investigated and that the HTS should ensure “control over the various actors in its security apparatus” (ibid.). The terrorist group HTS, whose members commit the massacres, is therefore supposed to prevent massacres performed by HTS. Unfortunately, Mrs. Baerbock does not reveal how this is to be done, but neither her owners nor the majority of German citizens, who have to finance these 300 million Euros, are interested in this. The fact that these massacres also affect women is also reported in the Western media (https://www.thetimes.com/world/middle-east/article/syria-leader-al-sharaa-womens-rights-p2ng2ndmb). The “feminist” Foreign Minister, who during her visit to Damascus had recommended the rights of Syrian women to a former Sharia judge who himself had taken part in executions of women (https://www.memri.org/jttm/justice-minister-hayat-tahrir-al-sham-hts-linked-new-syrian-government-documented-participating), does not seem to be aware of this.
The FRG promises to continue paying millions of Euros to a regime of Al-Qaeda and ISIS-jihadists which since coming to power first in the jihadist paradise of Idlib (https://syrianews.cc/un-security-council-extends-al-qaeda-lifeline-in-idlib-again/ ) and then throughout Syria, has attracted attention primarily through the most atrocious crimes against defenceless civilians (https://syrianews.cc/syria-nato-moderates-massacre-children-aleppo-school/). These millions of German taxpayer’s Euros will be invested in a terror regime in Syria and not in schools or social services in Germany. This simple truth must be rubbed in the faces of the German citizens who are so experienced in looking the other way.
At the meeting in Brussels, the EU announces a 2.5 billion Euros donation for Syria (https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2025/3/17/eu-pledges-2-5-billion-euros-2-7bn-to-syria-in-post-al-assad-donor-drive). The UK is adding a further 160 million Pounds, having already transferred 50 million Pounds in December 2024 – allegedly for the suffering Syrians (https://www.gov.uk/government/news/uk-announces-50m-new-support-for-vulnerable-syrians ). It is truly heartbreaking that the UK, together with France, the USA and the FRG core conspirator against Syria, is now suddenly thinking of the very same Syrians it has thrown into misery: after all, London and its friends bear the main responsibility for the fact that hundreds of thousands of Syrians are dead and more than 90 percent of the survivors of the almost 14-year war of terror are now living in poverty (https://www.presstv.ir/Detail/2025/02/21/743198/UN–Syria-economic-recovery-needs-more-than-50-years). While the officials in Brussels are spewing bubbles about an inclusive democratic renewal and a bright future, the Syrians, whom no one has ever asked, live in great fear of the EU-certified HTS murderers and vegetate without income, adequate food (the price of the staple bread has increased twelvefold since Al-Jolani grabbed power), medical care and fuel in a state of complete uncertainty.
The “foreign minister” of the HTS gang, Asaad Hassan Al-Shaibani, a political science graduate from a Turkish university and HTS government member in the jihadist caliphate of Idlib (https://syrianobserver.com/syrian-actors/what-to-know-about-asaad-al-shaibani-the-foreign-minister-in-the-new-syrian-government.html), will no doubt be delighted by the shiny promises of an abundance of money. Going to Brussels is profitable for headchoppers.
Anyone who has understood the principle of money laundering and enrichment via publicly financed projects, see Project Ukraine, will know that, despite the big words about a good future for Syria, most of these sums will not end up in Syria or with the suffering Syrians. It is to be expected that the money from the European tax slaves, should it be allocated at all, will pass through many hands and that each of these hands will be left with a handsome sum. From his time in Idlib, Al-Shaibani knows about working with organizations such as the UN.
In the movie mentioned above, Mr. Smith learns that the facade does not reflect reality but hides it from those who do not want to look behind the curtain. The decades-long imperialistic war of the West against sovereign and secular Syria could have told the peoples of the West, who had their politicians instigating and funding this war, the blatant and brutal truth. It is to be said that the majority of the western people did fail to bring up any sincere interest into their nation’s policies and the fatal consequences these policies do impact on other nations and people who had never done any harm to the West. The idea that politicians who destroy other nations and throw millions of people into the darkest abyss, would just consider to spare their own peoples is hillarious.
